Pipeline coverage ratio
Definition
Pipeline coverage ratio is open pipeline value divided by remaining revenue (or space) target — for example 3× coverage means three euros of open pipeline for every euro still needed to hit plan.
Coverage is the early-warning metric for sell-out risk. Thin coverage late in the cycle forces discounting; excess coverage with low win rates means junk opportunities. Recalculate weekly against remaining inventory, not original annual targets alone.
