For organizers running a portfolio, the multi-event app is usually the pragmatic choice: one store submission, one set of updates, one push-notification infrastructure, and much lower per-event cost than separate white-label builds. It also unlocks something individual apps can't — continuity. An attendee who used the app at your spring show already has it installed for the autumn one, profile intact, which lifts adoption and gives you cross-event behavioural data for marketing and matchmaking. In practice, the attendee downloads the branded portfolio app, picks or is deep-linked into their event, and everything from agenda to messaging scopes to that event. The commercial catch is brand dilution: each event's identity lives inside a container, and a flagship show sharing an app with six smaller ones can feel diminished to sponsors who expected their logo on a dedicated splash screen. The common mistake is underestimating the event-switching experience — if attendees of one show see content, notifications, or exhibitors from another, trust erodes fast, so test scoping ruthlessly. One honest nuance: year-round engagement is the promise vendors sell hardest and events realize least. Between shows, most attendees won't open the app no matter what content you post. Buy multi-event for economics and continuity, not for a 365-day community that rarely materializes.
