Founding AI Engineer

EngineeringParis·On-site

Build the intelligence layer behind six production agents that run live tradeshows — LLM orchestration, tool use, evals, and shipping daily to real events with hard deadlines.

The role

mytradeshow.ai is an agentic operating system for tradeshow organizers. Scott scouts prospects, Dana enriches records, Piper runs outreach, Connor books meetings, Booker closes booth deals, and Clara answers questions across the whole show — all in production, for real customers, on dates that do not move.

As our founding AI engineer, you own how those agents think and act: architecture, prompts, tools, evals, and the path from prototype to production. You work in person with the founding team in Paris and ship at show-speed.

What you'll do

  • Design and build LLM workflows — tool calling, structured outputs, multi-step agent loops — across our six agent surfaces
  • Own reliability: eval harnesses, regression suites, tracing, and guardrails on customer data
  • Partner with product and forward-deployed work to turn live show feedback into same-week improvements
  • Extend our shared agent platform (context handoffs, approvals, audit logs) so new capabilities ship fast
  • Dogfood the stack — we run on the same agents we sell

What we're looking for

  • Strong engineering fundamentals; 3+ years shipping production systems (TypeScript/Node preferred)
  • Hands-on LLM application experience — not just API calls, but systems that hold up in production
  • Comfort owning ambiguous problems from zero to shipped without a playbook
  • Clear written communication — specs, RFCs, and honest postmortems
  • Based in or willing to relocate to Paris for full-time on-site work

Nice to have

  • Event tech, B2B SaaS, or CRM / integration background
  • Eval frameworks, tracing (LangSmith, Braintrust, etc.), or fine-tuning pipelines
  • Prior early-stage or founding engineer role

Why join now

  • Your code runs real shows — not backlog items waiting for a launch window
  • Small in-person team, meaningful equity, and ownership of an entire agent domain
  • Software that acts instead of watching — the thesis behind everything we build
