Sell-out rate
Definition
Sell-out rate is the share of sellable floor inventory (by area or booth units) that is contracted for an edition, often tracked as a time series toward show open.
Sell-out rate is the headline commercial health metric for a trade show. Track by hall and category, not only overall, or hot zones hide cold ones. Pair with yield metrics so 100% sell-out at heavy discount is not celebrated as success.
