Inbox placement rate
Definition
Inbox placement rate is the share of sent emails that land in the primary inbox (versus spam or filtered tabs), measured via seed tests or deliverability tools.
Open rate alone cannot diagnose spam-folder problems. Placement testing separates copy issues from infrastructure issues. Track placement by mailbox provider — Gmail and corporate filters differ.
