The common mistake is staffing moderation as a stray task for whoever runs social media, which guarantees it happens last and inconsistently; the community reads inconsistency as unfairness. The honest nuance is that your exhibitors and sponsors are the likeliest rule-breakers, and moderating a paying customer takes a policy agreed with the commercial team in advance — not a judgement call left to a community manager alone.
