Segment-matching does quiet work here: a procurement director is persuaded by another procurement director, not by a student who enjoyed the freebies, so collect across the audience types your campaigns target. The common mistake is waiting until the post-event survey to ask; enthusiasm and response rates both decay within days, and the email request yields a fraction of what on-site capture does. One honest nuance: audiences have learned to discount polish.
