The problem an AI-guided tour solves is scale. At a show with several hundred exhibitors, no attendee evaluates the full directory; they visit the big booths near the entrance, whatever catches their eye, and whoever they already knew — then leave having missed the three companies that actually matched their needs. A guided tour flips the model: the attendee states what they're looking for, and the system builds a route, sequenced sensibly across the floor and fitted around their booked sessions and meetings. For organizers, the second-order effect is often the more valuable one: tours distribute traffic to relevant smaller exhibitors who could never win it on booth position, which directly improves those exhibitors' results and their likelihood of rebooking. The quality of a tour is capped by the quality of exhibitor data. If exhibitor profiles are three vague sentences written by an intern during onboarding, the matching has nothing to work with — so organizers serious about this invest in structured exhibitor profiles first. The honest nuance is trust: attendees reasonably wonder whether a stop is on their tour because it's relevant or because someone paid. Showing the reason for each recommendation, and clearly labeling any sponsored placements, keeps the feature credible. Hide that, and attendees stop following the route.
